1964年北海道広尾町生まれ。一級建築士。
1986年に北海道東海大学芸術工学部を卒業後、東京の石井和紘建築研究所、鈴木エドワード建築設計事務所で10年間に渡り大小様々な規模の建築実務を経て1996年札幌に有限会社ヒココニシ設計事務所を設立。室蘭工業大学、北海道科学大学、北海道東海大学の非常勤講師を歴任。現在も北海学園大学で教壇の場を継続している。2016年には事務所創立20周年を迎え社名をヒココニシアーキテクチュア株式会社へ改称。現在では国内外のクライアントとともに、住宅設計にとどまらず、医療施設や商業施設など幅広いジャンルの空間創造へ取り組み、北海道から「メイド・イン・ジャパン」の建築価値の向上に尽力している。現在、日本建築家協会理事・北海道支部長。日本建築学会会員。
Hikohito Konishi was born in 1964 in Hiroo-cho, Hokkaido, Japan. After graduating from the Art and Technology Department at Hokkaido Tokai University summa cum laude in 1986, he was involved over ten years in the design of architectures in many aspects, both on a small and large scale, at Kazuhiro Ishii Architect and Associates and Edward Suzuki Associates in Tokyo. In 1996, he opened his own studio in Sapporo-Hikohito Konishi Architect and Associates Co., ltd. He has been an adjunct professor at Muroran Institute of Technology, Hokkaido University of Science, and Hokkaido Tokai University, and now teaches at Hokkai-Gakuen University. Marking 20 years since the foundation, the studio changed its name to HIKOKONISHI ARCHITECTURE INC. in 2016. Today he is not only committed to designing residences but also to creating a broad spectrum of spaces, including medical facilities and commercial facilities in cooperation with the domestic and foreign clients, making his best effort to help enhance the value of “Made in Japan” architectures here in Hokkaido.
